For those of you who don’t know, Kevin O’Leary is a multi-billionaire entrepreneur and businessman, who stars on CBC’s the Dragon’s Den, and he has recently switched from an iPhone to the BlackBerry Z10. Like many, he initially thought he would never transition to a BlackBerry without a hardware QWERTY keyboard, but was lured in by the awesome predictive text keyboard of the Z10 after getting a demo from David Chilton, author of The Wealthy Barber. In addition to himself, he states that two other Dragons have also switched. That means that three of the 5 Dragons on Dragons Den are currently using the Z10 as their primary devices, which is great, and hopefully these guys will give the same kind of high-level endorsement and exposure that Kevin has.

Anyone who is familiar with Kevin, or who has watched Dragon’s Den will know that he is very opinionated, and he is never afraid to share that opinion loudly. He angers many people like this, however, he is a smart businessman, and of late, it seems that he is becoming quite a BlackBerry Fan. In yesterday’s episode of The Lang and O’Leary Exchange, when the topic of BlackBerry came up, he said “…And I’m not giving you a commercial, this is the best technology on the market today, until somebody else surpasses it, I’ve switched, I always have the best…”

It’s great to see Kevin giving BlackBerry such high praise and endorsement, even going so far as to call it “…the most advanced technology on the market…”. It just goes to show that all it can take to make a BlackBerry fan can be a real-world, hands on demo. Hopefully this is just the tip of the iceberg! Check out the video below, it’s great to see his enthusiasm for the Z10 and BlackBerry!
